The quest to find the ultimate truth will lead you down a path towards madness. Madness as defined by the sensibilities of "normal" society, that is. The irony is that, while there is a certain allure to the notion of an ultimate truth, this ultimate truth offers virtually no practical benefits when it comes to functioning within "normal" society. In fact, about the only real value derived from reaching an understanding of the ultimate truth is that it confers upon one a sense of acceptance of one's human and finite state. In order to be able to be comfortable in not questioning absolutely everything, one has to have experienced the displacement from reality that results from questioning everything.
