Just returned from a glorious Caribbean vacation. Four days in the United States Virgin Islands - sister islands of the British Virgin Islands. When you combine these two groups of tropical delights you get what is commonly known as the Virgin Islands. No, I didn't deflower any Virgin Islanders - Amy was with me (OK, so if she reads this, I know the shit will hit the fan, providing it doesn't hit my face first on its way towards the fan).
It was a whirlwind tour - just four days in total. Left San Francisco International on Tuesday at around midnight and flew into Miami where we connected to St. Croix (which a somewhat inexperienced flight attendant pronounced literally the way it is spelled).
I was intrigued to learn that these islands were acquired by the USA as recently as the Second World War.
Ah, so many islands, so little vacation time.
