The time is now 5:55pm and 55 seconds.
Through various stages of my life I've noticed numbers coinciding. Numbers of time, to be precise. I go through these very distinct phases of noticing numbers repeating in the time. This is true, of course, mainly for digital clocks and watches. Usually, in such cases, the time is something like 1:11, or 12:12, or 3:33. It's a very odd phenomenon, to say the least.
You would think that looking at one's clock or watch at exactly the time that numbers coincide like this is a completely rare and random event. Why then does this happen to me in very identifyable stages? I can only conclude that there must be cycles of randomness. If there were to be several types of factors involved in making an event happen, and all those factors were cyclic but repeated asynchronously, you could see why there might be a very spread out pattern of repetition for this phenomenon.
I could try to draw some spiritual meaning out of these events, or interpret them as some form of superstitious portent. But, why waste the time on that. I'll just waste time writing about it, instead.
