Are Republicans planning to obstruct for just long enough so that everyone is totally panicked, so they can then set up their presidential candidate as the knight in shining armor, who comes to the rescue just in the nick of time and makes it all better again? Would this be beneath Republicans? Would anything be beneath Republicans at this point? I just don't buy it. Things seemed to be moving towards a resolution, until McCain decided to suspend his campaign to "help out" with the crisis. He really seems to have pulled it off.
