There's a little publicised war going on. It's the war between the young renewable energy industry and the fat and bloated fossil fuels industry. With its longer history, the oil and broader fossil fuels industry has become entrenched - having successfully poisoned our elected politicians. Specifically, Republicans seem to have oil running through their veins.
Now, make no mistakes, the renewable energy industry will win this war. Oil is going down, but it also wants to drag us all along with it. We have to now turn up our noses to this industry that has dug us into such a deep hole. Those who stay on that ship will go down with that ship. It seems like Republicans have made their choice. It makes me happy to see the party of George W Bush rapidly making itself irrelevant to the 21st century.
